IMAGE ONE
this picture of the man crying (the first image) obviously provokes an emotion to the viewer. it creates a feeling of sorrow and remorse. the man i conventionally centered in the image and the background is a light color than the man which creates an emphasis. the contrast between the man's shirt and the background also creates a focal points and frontal point of view. the angle of the file cabinets angles towards the center, which also adds to the focal point of the image

IMAGE TWO

Roland Barthes said there are may different ways to change the form of an image. with a difference in contrast, additional text, metaphoric attributes, and other aspects the viewer's perception and insight of an image can change drastically. in order to be creative and be individualistic, an image or an idea must be considered as an on-going process of change. changes and diverse ideas are what make things considered creative. in the original image all the viewer sees is a man crying. many may just think he is in a feeling of sorrow, but have no idea what is is about. in the modified image, the frame is darkened to add to the feeling os distress and remorse, and also the addition of text gives the viewer in an depth understanding of the man's feelings.
